BMX race clothing: the wardrobe around the racing

A race day lasts a lot longer than three motos. You arrive early, you wait, you cheer, you pack up, you drive home. This category gathers everything a rider — and their family — wears outside the moments actually spent on the track: club textiles, team pieces and everyday clothing in the colours of the BMX race brands.

What this category is not

Nothing here is approved for competition. On the gate, the rules call for a long-sleeve jersey and full-length pants: for regulation kit, see our race jerseys and our race pants. This page is about comfort, identity and club life.

T-shirts and hoodies

The hoodie is the king of the paddock. Heavyweight cotton or brushed fleece, straight cut, lined hood: it holds heat through the long waits between qualifying motos and gets worn all year round. T-shirts, in cotton or a breathable blend, come in the same colourways as the race collections, so siblings and parents can stay in the club's colours too.

Jackets, softshells and windbreakers

The team jacket is the most useful garment of the season: pulled on over the jersey after the warm-up, it keeps muscle heat in right up to the start. Windproof softshells suit dry, blustery days; for genuinely wet meetings, look instead at our rain gear, which is built for water.

Caps, beanies and textile accessories

  • Flat or curved-peak caps, adjustable snapback, in one size adult or youth
  • Beanies and neck tubes for winter training sessions
  • Technical socks, to wear inside your BMX shoes
  • Technical base layers and arm sleeves, worn under the race jersey

Youth and adult sizing

Clothing collections follow two charts: youth sizes indexed on age from 4-5 up to 14-16 years, and adult sizes from S to XXL. Casual cuts are roomier than race cuts, so a rider in an adult S race jersey will often take an M in a sweatshirt. For a child, growing room is welcome on a hoodie but never on a technical piece worn under the kit.

The brands of the paddock

Chase refreshes its casual collections extensively every season. Stay Strong has built a strong graphic identity that is instantly recognisable on a hoodie. Meybo dresses its riders in the colours of its frames. Pride plays a more understated European card, while Answer carries its racing classics across to everyday pieces. Kenny and Shot complete the aisle with their lifestyle lines.
