SD BB30 Spinning Bottom Bracket - 24mm
This SD Spinning bottom bracket is CNC machined from aluminum. It allows the installation of a crankset equipped with a 24mm axle on a frame with a bottom bracket shell that has an external width of 68mm and an internal diameter of 42mm.
This housing is unique in that it uses bearings with a tapered outer cage. Therefore, the bearings can only be mounted in one direction within the cups. The cups are also marked "OUT" to indicate the outer side. This technology enables automatic coaxialization to improve power output. Its easy maintenance ensures trouble-free operation over extended periods, while the angular contact further enhances its reliability and longevity.
For mounting the housing, it features an internal recess with 20 splines on each side for inserting a key designed for a square-shaft type housing. This locking mechanism allows for easy installation. Its threaded structure limits the intrusion of foreign objects and increases the rigidity of the housing.
