Tungsten Race lubricant has been developed to withstand intervals of up to 300 km without reapplication! The blend of extremely durable waxes with tungsten disulfide produces a lubricant with fast-acting and long-lasting properties like no other. It penetrates all moving chain components before installation to create an extremely hard lubricating layer that doesn't attract dirt and cannot be washed away by water.

Tungsten was originally developed for space projects as a lubricant because it has a lower coefficient of friction than ceramics, Teflon, and graphite, and it is more durable. Tungsten smooths the metal surface to minimize surface imperfections, reducing friction by up to 40% compared to ceramics, up to 50% compared to Teflon, and up to 60% compared to graphite. Not only is it faster, but it is also more durable, creating an atomic layer on the chain surface to reduce transmission wear and protect moving components.

After the first two applications, the tungsten smooths out minor imperfections on the chain's metal surfaces, creating a protective, slippery layer. The next-generation formulation is designed to adhere firmly to the chain surface, which not only reduces wear but also extends the intervals between applications.
