The Chase ACT 2.0 frame , available at BMX Racing , raises the bar even higher in the carbon BMX race frame category. The acronym ACT stands for Advanced Carbon Technology. Designed for the most demanding riders, this high-end frame combines lightness, stiffness, and performance for BMX racing. • The ACT 2.0 is constructed from the highest quality carbon fiber, known as UD (unidirectional). UD fiber offers one of the best tensile strengths; it's the ideal material for a BMX racing frame. Tensile strength refers to the force required to break the fibers, while the tensile modulus measures the stiffness of the carbon fiber. Chase uses only UD carbon to manufacture the ACT frame to ensure optimal quality. Not only is UD fiber stronger than most other types of carbon fiber, but it's also lighter. This results in a higher manufacturing cost, but when designing ACT frames, performance and quality were prioritized above all else, relegating price to a secondary consideration.

• The ACT 2.0 is packed with new features: an integrated headset cover for a clean look, an integrated "Aero" seatpost clamp with quick release, a brand-new disc brake adapter option (compatible with Flat Mount or Post Mount calipers), and an integrated chain tensioning system. These innovations are perfectly suited to the demands of modern BMX racing.

• Six sizes are available for the launch of the ACT 2.0, including three new frame sizes: XXXL (22-inch top tube), XXXXL (22.5-inch top tube), and XXXXXL (23-inch top tube). This expanded range caters to the needs of BMX racing riders.

• The ACT 2.0 frame comes with the "Aero" headset and seat clamp. Other components, such as the disc brake adapter, are sold separately but are essential, as the frame is designed exclusively for disc brakes.

• The ACT 2.0 requires the separate purchase of a disc brake caliper adapter. Several options are available, compatible with 10mm, 15mm, or 20mm axles, for Flat Mount or Post Mount calipers.

• The ACT 2.0 requires a 140mm rear axle (sold separately), as well as an "Aero" type seatpost and seat clamp.

  • The ACT 2.0 features a tapered head tube (1-1/8" - 1.5") and a Press Fit bottom bracket. Aero seatpost diameter: 27.2 mm. Aero seatpost extenders are available.
