BMX seating on sale: saddles, posts and clamps at end of line
Seating follows the colours of complete builds closely. When a brand changes palette, last year's saddles and posts move to clearance in strictly new condition. On a race bike these are lightly loaded parts: the discount takes nothing off their service life.
Pivotal or rails, and the right post diameter
The checkpoint here is how the three parts talk to each other. A Pivotal saddle needs a Pivotal post; a railed saddle needs a cradle head. Read the post diameter off the frame — 25.4, 27.2 or 31.6 mm — and match the clamp to the outside diameter of the seat tube, 28.6, 31.8 or 34.9 mm.
What is left, and how to complete it
Deals often cover a mismatched set: a saddle without its matching post, or a single length. Measure the seat tube height you have before taking a short post, and budget for a clamp if the diameter changes mid-build.
