CARBON FRAME ACT 2.0 KIT + FORK IKON CARBON

The Chase ACT 2.0 pushes the boundaries of carbon BMX racing once again, taking performance, stiffness, and lightness to a new level. Developed for BMX racing riders seeking precise and high-performance handling on the track, the ACT 2.0 benefits from Advanced Carbon Technology (ACT).

The ACT 2.0 frame is made from UD (Uni-Directional Carbon) carbon fiber, one of the fibers offering the best mechanical characteristics available for designing a high-performance BMX race frame. UD fiber boasts very high tensile strength and excellent stiffness, two essential elements in BMX racing where every acceleration, every roll-through, and every rider movement can make all the difference.

Tensile strength is the force required to break the fibers, while the tensile modulus measures their stiffness. For the Chase ACT frame design, only high-quality UD carbon fiber is used to achieve an excellent balance of stiffness, strength, weight, and performance.

UD fiber also allows for weight reduction compared to many traditional carbon constructions. This constant pursuit of lightness allows the rider to benefit from a responsive, precise, and dynamic BMX racing bike, particularly effective during grid starts, sprints, accelerations, and changes of pace on the track.

The development of the ACT 2.0 was primarily focused on BMX racing performance and build quality. Price was not the main design criterion: the goal was to offer a carbon frame capable of meeting the demands of riders seeking a high level of performance in both training and competition.

WHAT'S NEW IN ACT 2.0

The ACT 2.0 benefits from numerous developments designed to improve component integration, chassis rigidity and overall BMX Race efficiency.

The frame notably incorporates an integrated headset top cover, offering a cleaner finish and a more harmonious cockpit package.

It also features an integrated quick-release aero seatpost clamp, specially designed to complement the frame's racing design.

A new disc brake adapter solution now allows the use of different types of calipers, in Flat Mount or Post Mount configurations, with an integrated chain tensioning system. This design enables precise drivetrain adjustment and excellent chain tension management, elements that are particularly important in BMX racing.

For its initial commercial launch, the ACT 2.0 is available in 6 sizes, including 3 new frame sizes specifically designed for larger riders:

• XXXL – 22" top tube

• XXXXL – 22.5" top tube

• XXXXXL – 23" top tube

The ACT 2.0 kit includes the headset and the Aero seatpost clamp.

Certain specific components, including the disc brake adapter, are sold separately. As the frame is designed exclusively for a disc brake configuration, the corresponding adapter is essential for mounting the braking system.

The ACT 2.0 requires a disc brake caliper adapter sold separately. Several configurations are available depending on the axle used: 10 mm, 15 mm or 20 mm, with compatibility for Flat Mount or Post Mount calipers.

The ACT 2.0 frame also requires a 140mm rear axle, sold separately, as well as an Aero seatpost and its corresponding clamping system.

The frame features a tapered 1-1/8" – 1.5" head tube, coupled with a Press Fit bottom bracket, for a modern BMX Racing performance-oriented design.

FORK IKON CARBON TAPERED PRO 20MM

20" BMX Racing Carbon Fork – 20mm Axle

There IKON Carbon Tapered Pro 20MM is a monocoque carbon fork developed to complement the performance of the ACT 2.0 frame and meet the demands of modern BMX Racing.

Its monocoque UD carbon construction allows for a lightweight, rigid and precise fork, offering behavior adapted to acceleration phases, jump take-offs, landings and technical riding on BMX Race tracks.

The fork features a tapered 7075 aluminum steerer tube, with a 1-1/8" upper section and a 1.5" lower section. Its 6mm wall thickness helps ensure excellent rigidity and strength for use in BMX racing competition and training.

The design also incorporates a bearing span of less than 45°, allowing direct installation of the lower bearing without requiring additional racing.

The fork legs are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, in order to obtain a precise and robust connection with the front hub and the 20 mm axle.

PLEASE NOTE

The kit is sold without a disc brake adapter for the rear dropouts, without a specific conical washer for the rear hub, and without an associated bolt.

These components must be selected separately according to the configuration of the BMX Racing bike, the rear hub, the axle and the disc brake system used.
