Choosing a BMX Race part is almost always a compatibility question: a clamp diameter, a bottom bracket standard, a top tube length, a rim format. Our buying guides start from that question rather than from the catalogue.
Each guide gives the real dimensions, how to measure them yourself, and what actually changes from one rider class to the next. We are a multi-brand shop: we compare manufacturers' charts instead of pushing one, and we say so when two brands badge as "Expert" two frames that are not the same length.
You will find the same tables we use in the workshop: rider height against top tube, crank lengths, 355, 406, 451 and 507 wheel formats, and handlebar widths within the UCI limit.
BMX Size Chart: Which Race Bike Size to Choose
This BMX size chart is read on rider height in centimetres, never on age. The top tube of the frame has to match the rider's height and their inside leg (inseam). Below is the full chart from Micro to Pro XXXL and Cruiser, how a race frame is measured, how to take the two measurements yourself, and how to settle the call when a rider falls between two sizes.
