AVIAN CARBON BRAKE PADS
Avian Carbon brake pads feature an alloy backing plate and a lining specifically designed for use with carbon rims. Brake pads play a crucial role in braking performance as well as the long-term durability of the rims.
The use of standard aluminum rim brake pads is not recommended for carbon rims, as it risks damaging the rims and causing premature wear of the brake pads.

Does a BMX Race bike have a brake?
Yes, a rear brake is mandatory in competition. It can be a V-brake (pads) or, on newer models, a disc brake; front brakes are not used in racing.
When should I replace my brake pads?
When the grooves are worn away or braking loses its bite. New pads properly aligned on the rim ensure clean, quiet braking.
