Complete BMX bikes on sale: outgoing model years, new machines

Manufacturers renew their ranges every year, usually on the frame graphics and the stock build kit. Last season's bikes then move to clearance. Geometry, frame and components remain those of a current race machine: this is a calendar discount, not a step down in range.

Choose the size, not the discount

The checkpoint for this family is rider fit. A BMX is chosen on top tube length and category, from Micro and Mini for the youngest through to Expert, Pro and Pro XL. Then check the wheel diameter — 20 inch in 406 or 451 depending on size, 24 inch for a Cruiser — and the braking, pads or disc.

One size, one colour, one unit

On clearance, each reference often exists as a single unit per size. If the rider is growing fast, still take the correct size: an oversized machine handles badly out of the gate. We set saddle height and bar position before boxing.
