Discounted BMX race tyres: what drops in price, and why
A tyre reaches this page for three reasons at our suppliers: the model has been replaced by a newer compound, the colour has left the range, or one or two widths remain from an otherwise sold-out line. Casing and rolling speed are not in question — these are new tyres that have simply left the current catalogue.
Check the width and the diameter before you order
This is the checkpoint specific to tyres. A 20 inch tyre exists in 406 and in 451, and the two diameters are not interchangeable: your rim decides. Then read the width fitted today, anywhere from 20 x 1-1/8" to 20x1.75, and keep the same width at the rear if you are only replacing the front.
Limited quantities, size by size
A discount works at exact reference level, not model level: 20x1.60 may still be on the shelf when 20x1.75 in the same colour has gone. Take the pair if the width suits you, and add the matching inner tube — the part most often forgotten when a full set is renewed.
