Knee and elbow pads on sale: outgoing collections, certification untouched
Limb protectors follow the rhythm of the apparel range. When a brand renews its collection, last season's elbow and knee guards move to clearance without a single change to the shell, the foam or the certification. This page covers those pads only — helmets and race kit are reduced in their own sections. It is the right moment to kit out a young rider who outgrows a size every year.
Fit matters more than the discount
The checkpoint here is body measurement: an oversized pad slides on the first impact and protects nothing. Measure elbow girth and knee girth before ordering, and read the stated standard: CE EN 14120 for soft roller-sports sleeves, the cycling-side benchmark, or EN 1621-1 for hard shells, a motorcycling standard that gravity brands display very widely. A wrong size cannot be rescued by tightening the straps.
What end-of-line stock looks like
The extreme sizes go first, mid sizes linger. On a pair of knee or elbow guards, check that both pieces are present, and think about the layer worn underneath: a long-sleeve jersey stops a hard shell chafing.
